Forty miles outside Los Angleles, 9361 Farralone Avenue, in Chatsworth was once sub-let by Monroe and Kennedy's mutual friend Frank Sinatra in the 1960's.

While Monroe was a regular guest at the 'Rat-Pack' leader's minimalist steel and glass home, rumours abound that President Kennedy was also a frequent visitor, relying on his singing friends discretion to conduct his alleged extra-marital trysts.

Sex-symbol Monroe supposedly would stay in a modest 1,000 square-foot, one bedroomed guesthouse on the 13.5 acre property and entertain the former president after their affair supposedly began in 1961, MSNBC said.

Situated on top of a hill, the property is discreetly hidden and would have made the perfect rendezvous for the President and Monroe's illicit trysts, it said.

The property has been described by agents handling its sale as like being 'on top of the world'.

The four bed-roomed home has been the scene of many a Hollywood glamour night.

The home has six bathrooms, a grand gallery and three private offices on a lower level complete with a conference room.

The home was designed by renowned architects Pereira and Luckman and the main house of the 13.5 acre estate is comprised of a 6,661 square foot residence with two acres of lawn.

"They built 50 per cent of the home out of glass that has withstood the test of time," said listing agents Lynn Teschner.
