Meanwhile, BJP announced Rajnath Singh will begin the party's election campaign in the three poll-bound North-East states of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland with a rally on in Agartala on February 11. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and her Rajya Sabha counterpart Arun Jaitley will also campaign in these states. BJP is contesting 50 seats in the 60-member Tripura Assembly. In Nagaland, BJP has fielded 11 candidates and is contesting as part of the Nagaland Peoples' Front alliance. JD(U) is also a part of this alliance which is trying to retain power. NPF will release its Common Minimum Programme (CMP) on February 10. In Meghalaya, BJP is in the fray in 13 seats and is part of the National Peoples' Party alliance.
