The western disturbance as an upper air cyclonic circulation extending upto 4.5 kms a.S.L. Over Jammu and Kashmir and neighbourhood now lies over eastern parts of Jammu and Kashir. The induced low pressure area over northern parts of Rajasthan and neighbourhood has become less marked. The associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 3.6 kms a.S.L. Lies over Haryana and neighbourhood. The trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 kms a.S.L. Now runs roughly along Longitude 70 degree east to north of Latitude 18 degree. Above three systems would move east northeastwards. The trough of low at mean sea level over southeast Arabian Sea persists. Severe cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Vidarbha. Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Madhya Pradesh. Cold day condtions prevailed in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. (More)
