A trough of low at mean sea level lies over Lakshadweep area and neighbourhood. The other trough of low at mean sea level over southeast Arabian sea has moved away westward. The western disturbance as an upper air cyclonic circulation over Afghanistan and neighbourhood now lies over northeast Afghanistan and neighbourhood. System would move east northeastwards. The cyclonic circulation over Tripura and neighbourhood has become less marked. Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh. Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Vidarbha; remaining parts of west Madhya Pradesh; appreciably below normal in some parts of Odisha, Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and were below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa, south interior Karnataka and Kerala and in remaining parts of east Madhya Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of west Rajasthan and were above normal in some parts of Haryana, Gujarat, Marathwada and north interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya. They were normal over the rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 7.2 deg C has been recorded at Rewa in (east Madhya Pradesh) in the plains of the country.
