PLANTATION ------------------------------ Jammu: Intensify plantation drives in critical areas to avoid any forest land encroachment, Minister for Forests and Environment Mian Altaf told departmental officials here. "Intensify plantation drives, particularly, in critical areas to avoid any forest land encroachment," Altaf said. Plantation on empty patches of the forests should be started in order to minimise deforestation, he said.
