Replicate special police station model in other parts: NCSC

Praising special police stations set up for probing cases related to crime against SC/ST persons in Madhya Pradesh, National Commission for Schedule Caste's (NCSC) vice president L Murugan here today said that this should be replicated in the entire country.
"The setting up of special police stations for probing crime against SC/ST persons in the state is the best system. It should be implemented in the entire country," Murugan told reporters after chairing a meeting.
He said these days the commission is focusing more on developing entrepreneurship in the Dalit community and is also working to ensure that they also get speedy justice in the matter of atrocities.
Earlier, Murugan held detailed discussions with the officials on the cases registered under SC/ST Act and directed them to ensure that they should not remain pending.
He also directed them to speed up work for making caste certificates and also discussed matter related to regularisation of Dalit daily wagers.
