"Senator Paul is much interested to bag the early support of Indian Americans specially influential Indian American Physician group," said Sampat Shivangi, president of Indian American Forum for Political Education, after a meeting with the Republican lawmaker in Mississippi yesterday.
"I was impressed with his depth of knowledge of India and Indian American and their contribution in economical, medical and US political spheres," Shivangi said in a statement.
Paul expressed his desire to meet Indian Americans and Indian American Physician group for their early support in his quest for US Presidency.
Senator Paul was in Jackson, Mississippi to address Mississippi Republican Party Victory event. It was attended by top State Republican leadership included the Governor Phil Bryant, Lt Governor Tate Reeves, Secretary of State Delbert Hoseman.
"Senator Rand Paul is very impressive with vast Senate experience, analytic and brilliant mind. He may be conservative to the core but has immense love for the country and want to take the nation to newer glory and heights," Shivangi said.
