The Republican presidential race has hit a new low with about half a dozen of its candidates, including frontrunner Donald Trump and Jeb Bush, locking horns and engaging in personal attacks.
In a latest debate last night, top presidential candidates including Donald Trump and the three others - Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio - tried to score points over others by hitting hard on their opponents.
"You are single biggest liar. You are probably worse than Jeb Bush," Trump screamed at Cruz as the two entered into feisty exchange of words. This was followed by a nasty exchange between the two, with Cruz calling the New Yorker with the same name.
"This guy will say anything, nasty guy. Now I know why he doesn't have one endorsement from any of his colleagues (in the Senate). He's a nasty guy," Trump said.
Cruz fought back in defense saying that Trump is also a liar.
"I will say, it is fairly remarkable to see Donald defending Ben after he called, "pathological," and compared him to a child molester. Both of which were offensive and wrong," Cruz said.

Trump was not the only person to describe Cruz as a liar. Florida Senator Marco Rubio also used the same words against his colleague in the Senator from Texas.
"This is a disturbing pattern now, because for a number of weeks now, Ted Cruz has just been telling lies. He lied about Ben Carson in Iowa," Rubio said.
When Cruz referred to a Rubio interview on immigration reform on a Spanish television, he said that the Texas Senator does not know Spanish.
"I don't know how he knows what I said on Univision because he doesn't speak Spanish," Rubio said.
Meanwhile, Trump said: "The weakest person on this stage by far on illegal immigration is Jeb Bush. They come out of an act of love, whether you like it or not. He is so weak on illegal immigration it's laughable, and everybody knows it".
"This is the standard operating procedure, to disparage me," Bush, former Florida governor said as he was interrupted by Trump.
"Spend a little more money on the commercials," Trump said, who went on to allege the real estate mogul of denigrating Republican leaders.
"That is outrageous," Bush said objecting to the choice of words by Trump. Trump was quick to interrupt again and made public some little known fact about Bush.
Trump also lambasted at Jeb's brother president George W
Bush's war in Iraq as "a big fat mistake."
"The war in Iraq was a big, fat mistake. The war in Iraq, we spent USD 2 trillion, thousands of lives, we don't even have it. Iran has taken over Iraq with the second-largest oil reserves in the world,". Trump said.
Replying to the comments, Jeb said: "I'm sick ask tired of Barack Obama blaming my brother for all of the problems that he has had. And, frankly, I could care less about the insults that Donald Trump gives to me. It's blood sport for him. He enjoys it. And I'm glad he's happy about it. I am sick and tired of him going after my family".
"And while Donald Trump was building a reality TV show, my brother was building a security apparatus to keep us safe. And I'm proud of what he did," Bush said.
Trump responded by saying that the World Trade Center came down during George Bush's time.
"That's not keeping us safe," he said.
Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee said that even though the Republican field has been cut in half, their ongoing shouting match was twice as loud. But the Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus differed.
"Our party's well-qualified and experienced field of candidates continues to put forth serious solutions to restore prosperity and strength to America," he said.
"While the Democrats are letting a self-avowed socialist set the pace, our candidates are having a spirited exchange of ideas on how to get our country back on track," Priebus said.
