The animal which was taken to the mini zoo at Miao was rescued by an wildlife enthusiast Waren Aboh from the hills of Khonsa in Tirap district four years back, the sources said.
Aboh kept the goat antelope under his care for over three years and after that Tirap Deputy Commissioner P N Thungon had voluntarily taken care of the orphaned animal.
For conservation and protection of the serow, Thungon decided to translocate the Serow to the Mini Zoo at Miao, the sources said.
