There were lot of export opportunities for roses across the globe, but due to global warming, problems exist in their production, WFRS President, Steve Jones told reporters.
Jones, here on a visit to the Rose gardens and botanical gardens along with a 35-member delegation of the WFRS, said that rose cultivation in California has become a problem due to drought like situation.
Considering the climate change affecting the entire world, the federation is carrying out research to bring out drought resistant and different colour and shades of roses.
As far as India is concerned, the parks and rose gardens under private and public holdings, including the one here, were well maintained, he said.
