Reserved seats for women in Shivneri buses on three routes
Press Trust of India Mumbai Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will keep ten seats reserved for women in its high-end Shivneri bus service on Mumbai-Pune, Mumbai-Nashik and Mumbai-Aurangabad routes, the government said today.
The quota would come into effect from August 19, this year's Raksha-bandhan day.
Maharashtra transport minister Diwakar Raote made the announcement in the Legislative Assembly here today.
Seat numbers 3 to 12 will be reserved for women in these buses.
