Reshuffle in Bihar police

Barely a week after the shunting of Bihar Director General of Police, a major reshuffle was effected today in the state police department involving 35 IPS officers.
In the reshuffle the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Headquarters, Ravindra Kumar has been shifted to Vigilance Investigation Bureau, an official notification said.
Kumar will also hold additional charge of the ADG, Bihar Military Police.
The former director general of police Abhayanand was shunted as DGP, Homeguard last week and replaced by P K Thakur.
Among others transferred are Inspector General (IG) of Police, Provision and Home Guard, Vinay Kumar who is now IG, Crime Investigation Department (CID).
Praveen Vashistha, IG (Wireless and Technical Services) is the new IG of State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) while Jitendra Kumar, IG (CID), has been shifted to Special Vigilance Unit as its IG.

Sushil M Khopre, who was recently made the IG, Muzaffarpur Zone, is the new IG (Operations), while Amit Kumar Jain, who was the DIG, Shahabad Range, has been promoted and made the IG (Home Guard and Fire Services).
Sudhanshu Kumar, the DIG of Munger Range has been promoted as IG (Provision), while Sunil Kumar, the DIG of Central Range, Patna, is now the new IG (Budget, Appeal and Welfare).
The Purnea Range DIG, Paras Nath too has been promoted and made IG of Muzaffarpur Zone while Bachuchu Singh Meena, who was posted at Gaya as the DIG, Magadh Range, too has been promoted and made the IG, Bhagalpur Zone.
Ashok Kumar who was the DIG of Electricity Vigilance Unit has been made IG, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB).
