Superintendent of Police (City North) Vinod Kumar also asked traders to install CCTV cameras with night vision outside their businesses to keep a watch on the people moving around.
"We request people to report any suspicious movement in their areas and also provide information about their tenants and domestic help so that their credentials can be cross- checked," Kumar told reports here.
Asked about a recent case of burglary at a shop in the heart of the city that was robbed of mobile phones worth nearly Rs 13 lakh, Kumar said, "the investigation is going on in right direction." He added that with the help of CCTV footage, the faces of the culprits have been revealed and they would be brought to books soon.
Kumar said 120 missing mobile phones were recovered from different parts of the city over the past couple of months with help from the cybercrime cell.
Kumar, however, said no one has been arrested in connection with these thefts so far.
