"Respect opposition in order to gain respect," Sehwag told the aspiring cricketers who were handpicked by the right-hander himself during a three-week camp organised by the Sehwag International School here.

Sehwag has himself selected 60 talented cricketers from 500 who appeared for the trials. The swashbuckling opener was himself present during the entire selection process.

"Some of these kids are really talented and I am amazed to see the kind of quality that is available. I had given them a few advise on cricketing matters as well as life in general. The two important things these kids should learn is never argue with your coach, you can discuss. And secondly, if you be a human being first you will certainly be a good cricketer."

According to Sehwag, some of the cricketing questions that these kids asked him amazed him.

"The kids asked me to play a couple of shots, the upper cut and the flick. I played those two shots which they really enjoyed. I am really happy that I am able to provide these kids with facilities that were not available during my time," he said.

"I used to travel 4 hours regularly and then get to bat for just 30 minutes, that too because I was my coach's favourite student. Others hard;y got 15 minutes. I hope these kids use these facilities to the fullest extent."
