Groundnut mill delivery oil prices edged higher at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today largely on the back of increased demand from retailers.
Movements in other edible and non-edible oils remained restricted in the absence of any worthwhile activity, and settled at their previous levels.
Traders said scattered buying by retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 8,850 per quintal.
