Retailers demand lifts peas prices

Amid pick up in retailers demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, peas prices rose by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today.
However, other pulses after moving in a narrow range on scattered support and settled at last levels.
Marketmen said upsurge in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up peas prices.
In the national capital, peas white and green rose by Rs 70 and Rs 100 to Rs 3,170-3,195 and Rs 3,400-3,500 per quintal, respectively.
