Retirement age at AIDCL raised to 60 yrs

Jammu and Kashmir government today announced enhancement of the retirement age of Agro Industries Development Corporation employees to 60 years and in-principle approval to the implementation of Sixth Pay Commission for the corporation (AIDCL).
The Board of Directors, which met after a gap of two years, decided that an employee of the corporation in service on June 1, 2014, or appointed on or after that date, shall retire on his attaining the age of 60 years, a spokesman said.
The retirement age at AIDCL was 58 years earlier.
The Board also gave in-principle approval to the implementation of 6th Pay Commission, but asked the Managing Director of the corporation to come up with draft resolution to workout financial implications in this regard.
To improve the working of the corporation, the Board decided that AIDCL would take three posts of General Manager from General Administration Department (GAD) on deputation basis and their pay will be drawn from the corporation.
With regard to non-functional petrol pump at Lal Mandi, Srinagar, Agriculture Minister Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, who is also the chairman of the corporation, directed AIDCL to prepare a detailed project report along with financial involvement and submit the same in its next meeting.
The Board also asked the corporation to prepare a comprehensive plan for relocation of cold storage plant from Lal Mandi Srinagar to Khunmoh in Pulwama district and submit the same in next board meeting.
