Revenue collection in Karnataka for the current fiscal year has so far been satisfactory, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters after a review meeting with the officials of various departments, he said the commercial tax department has till date collected Rs 33,618 crore revenue, which was 44.2 per cent of the targeted Rs 76,046 crore.
He said the goods and services tax (GST) collection too has increased by 14.3 per cent. When the GST came into force, 4.51 lakh companies were enrolled under it. Now, those enrolled under GST has gone upto 8.16 lakh, which was 100 per cent more, he said
