He was taking the money from a person for furnishing a legal heir certificate.
The accused, Manmohan Tripathy, was caught red-handed by the vigilance personnel when he was accepting Rs 2,500 from the complainant near a high school at Buguda, vigilance officials here said.
The bribe money was seized from him, they said.
This was second time that Tripathy was arrested by the vigilance personnel, they added.
Earlier, Tripathy was arrested on charges of accepting a bribe in 2014 and he was posted in Berhampur tehsil at that time, the officials said.
