A revenue officer has been arrested by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials here for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000 from a man for measuring his agricultural land, officials said.
Anjali Sharma (38) was arrested from her residence in Borekheda area of the city and would be produced before an ACB court tomorrow, they said.
On April 23, the complainant approached the ACB alleging that the revenue officer has demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 for measuring his agriculture land in Deoli Machiya village, an ACB inspector said, adding the bribe amount was brought down to Rs 7,000 following negotiations.
Sharma was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe, the officer said.
