Gopal Paliwal (52) was caught and arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the farmers who hails from Narsinghpur district, Lokayukta Police DySP B S Parihar said.
The complainant had bought an agriculture land in a village and sought its papers including map of the immovable property from the tehsil office.
Paliwal allegedly sought the illegal gratification from the complainant for making him available the required document, Parihar said.
After receiving the complaint we laid a trap and arrested Paliwal while accepting Rs 2,000 at Panchayat Bhawan in Kala village, he said, adding that Paliwal has been booked under the relevant sections of IPC and further investigations are on.
