Delhi Transport department has revised its question bank, used for conducting test for issue of learner's driving licence, to bring it at par with internationally accepted norms for road safety and traffic management.
The new question bank has been evolved based on international accepted norms for road safety and traffic management, a transport department official said, adding it would also bring about greater transparency and efficiency.
The question bank is used for conducting test for issue of learner's driving licence. The test is currently being conducted on computer, where it gives 10 randomly selected questions from the bank which an applicant is required to answer within 10 minutes.
"The question bank in bilingual is available on the transport department's website and also displayed on notice board at all Transport Zonal Offices. For computer illiterate applicants, voice enabled facility is provided so that they can listen to the question and verbally respond to them," said the official.
He also said biometric (Finger Print) identification is also taken along with photograph at the time of learning license test.
"With this step, the process of getting a learning licence is expected to improve," official added.
