It will be the last extensive revision of the electoral rolls in the city before the Delhi Assembly elections slated for November 2013.
Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi Vijay Dev today said people will be able to file claims and objections till November 14 and the revised electoral roll will be published on January 10, 2013.
Dev said the objective of this exercise is to update the electoral roll by including the names of the eligible citizens who will attain the age of 18 years or more on January one, 2013 and to redress claims and objections of the electorate.
The revision of the electoral roll has been initiated following an Election Commission directive.
The list of designated locations to apply for photo electoral cards is available at the website of the election office (www.Ceodelhi.Nic.In).
The disposal of claims and objections will be completed by December 15 while updating of database and printing of supplementary lists will take place between December 15 and 28.

Dev said audio visual campaign will be launched to encourage youths to come forward and enrol their names in the electoral roll.
He said Delhi government will have to take prior permission of the Election Office before effecting any transfer and new postings of officials during the period of revision of electoral roll.
Dev said currently the number of voters in Delhi is 1.18 crore.
