"I welcome the decision to revive cricket ties. Both the countries should be brought to the negotiating table and such steps will definitely help in this endeavour," Additional General Secretary of National Conference Mustafa Kamal said in a statement here.
The National Conference would facilitate all such steps which were aimed at improving relations between the two countries, he said.
Kamal said his party had always stood for good Indo-Pak relations and efforts in this direction would continue.
"It is not only a welcome step for the people of the neighbouring countries but also for the cricket lovers who are waiting to see their teams clash on the field," he said.
The resumption of cricket ties would help generate a friendly environment to resolve all outstanding issues, Kamal said.
"It will not only help both the countries to get involved but also will enable us to get closer," he said.
