Revlon is buying Spanish company Colomer Group, which sells hair dye and other products for beauty salons, for about USD 660 million, saying the deal will help it reach new customers and cut costs.
Colomer markets products under brands such as Revlon Professional hair care. About half of its sales are in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, while 40 percent come from the US Revlon Inc. Said today that it's buying Colomer from private equity firm CVC Capital Partners. The deal is expected to close in the last three months of the year.
The New York company sells Revlon and Almay makeup, Revlon ColorSilk hair dye and other beauty products.
