"It will enable them (government departments) to put in place a self monitoring and assessing system and make realise physical targets and outcomes benchmark of performance," he said during a meeting here with the task force constituted for the implementation of RFD.
The CM said his government was committed to roll out RFDs in all departments as soon as possible to ensure that the benefits of various development programmes reach people in a time bound manner and as per the prioritised schedule.
Under RFD, each government department would be evaluated to identify bottlenecks, shortcomings if any and to take corrective measures.
He also emphasised on the need to prioritise matters relating to generation of power and science and technology.
Minister for Planning and Development Ajay Sadhotra, Chief Secretary Madhav Lal, Financial Commissioner Mohammad Iqbal Khandey and Principal Secretary Planning and Development B R Sharma were also present in the meeting.
