Rice basmati edges up on scattered buying

Barring a rise in rice basmati prices on scattered buying by stockists, other grains held steady at the wholesale grains market today.
Traders said some buying by stockists against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly attributed to the rise in rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety moved up by Rs 100 to Rs 3,900-4,800 per quintal.

Wheat MP (desi) Rs 2,000-2,600, Wheat dara (for mills) Rs 1,700-1,705, Chakki atta (delivery) Rs 1,710-1,715, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) Rs 230, Shakti Bhog (10 kg) Rs 230, Roller flour mill Rs 880-885 (50 kg), Maida Rs 930-940 (50 kg) and Sooji Rs 975-980 (50 kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) Rs 10,700, Shri Lal Mahal Rs 11,300, Super Basmati Rice Rs 9,700, Basmati common new Rs 5,100-5,200, Rice Pusa (1121) Rs 3,900-4,800, Permal raw Rs 1,900-1,950, Permal wand Rs 2,125-2,175, Sela Rs 2,400-2,500 and Rice IR-8 Rs 1,700-1,720, Bajra Rs 1,430-1,435, Jowar yellow Rs 1,700-1,800, white Rs 3,200-3,300, Maize Rs 1,660-1,665, Barley Rs 1,440-1,450.
