Rice basmati edges up on upsurge in demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi Barring a rise in rice basmati prices following uptick in demand from retailers, rest other grains held steady at the wholesale grains market today.
Traders said pick up in demand from retailers amid pause in supplies from producing regions helped rice basmati prices to trade higher.
In the national capital, rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety traded higher at Rs 4,550-5,450 from previous level of Rs 4,500-5,350 per quintal.
