Traders said sluggish demand against adequate supplies from producing regions mainly pulled down rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 8,500-9,200 and Rs 7,700-9,300 per quintal, respectively.
Other bold grains like bajra, jowar yellow and white also eased to Rs 1,245-1,250, Rs 1,470-1,500 and Rs 2,275-2,450 against last close of Rs 1,265-1,270, Rs 1,480-1,500 and Rs 2300-2500 per quintal, respectively.
