Rice basmati prices rises on stockists buying

Rice basmati prices firmed up by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on emergence of stockists buying following pick up in demand from retailers amid restricted supplies.
Traders said stockists buying to meet rising demand from retailers amid restricted supplies from producing regions mainly attributed the rise in rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa 1121 variety moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,500-5,600 and Rs 4,450-5,300 per quintal, respectively.

Wheat MP (desi) Rs 1,850-2,100, Wheat dara (for mills) Rs 1,655-1,660, Chakki atta (delivery) Rs 1,660-1,665, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) Rs 265, Shakti Bhog (10 kg) Rs 265, Roller flour mill Rs 850-860 (50 kg), Maida Rs 930-950 (50 kg) and Sooji Rs 980-990 (50 kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) Rs 10,700, Shri Lal Mahal Rs 11,300, Super Basmati Rice Rs 9,700, Basmati common new Rs 5,500-5,600, Rice Pusa (1121) Rs 4,450-5,300, Permal raw Rs 1,900-1,950, Permal wand Rs 2,075-2,125, Sela Rs 2,400-2,500 and Rice IR-8 Rs 1,775-1,800, Bajra Rs 1,600-1,605, Jowar yellow Rs 1,800-1,900, white Rs 3,400-3,500, Maize Rs 1,450-1,460, Barley Rs 1,610-1,615.
