Traders said increased buying by exporters mainly influenced rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety surged to Rs 9,400-10,600 and Rs 7,900-10,800 from Rs 9,000-10,400 and Rs 7,700-10,200 per quintal respectively.
On the other hand, wheat dara (for mills) eased by Rs 15 to Rs 1,575-1,580 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower at Rs 1,585-1,590 from previous level of Rs 1,595-1,600 per 90 kg.

Bajra and maize also slipped to Rs 1,215-1,220 and Rs 1,250-1,255 against last close of Rs 1,250-1,255 and Rs 1,270-1,275 per quintal respectively.
