Rice, Doval exchange views on terror threat posed by ISIS: WH

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and his US counterpart Susan Rice exchanged views on terror threat posed by the ISIS in the region besides enhancing counterterrorism cooperation against LeT and JeM, the White House said today.
Doval, who is in the US to attend the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) being hosted by US President Barack Obama and beginning tomorrow, met Rice at the White House.
"Rice and Doval exchanged views on the terrorist threat posed by ISIL in the region and the importance of combating the ideology that fuels such groups," Ned Price, Spokesman of the US National Security Council at the White House, said using a different acronym for the Islamic State or ISIS.
They also discussed US-India counterterrorism cooperation, including against Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), he said.
"Additionally, they exchanged views on the prospects for commercial progress this year under US-India civil nuclear cooperation," Price said.
During the meeting, Rice reiterated America's support for India's membership in the Nuclear Suppliers Group and Missile Technology Control Regime, he said.
Doval is scheduled to meet US Secretary of State John Kerry at the Foggy Bottom headquarters of the State Department.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who would lead the Indian delegation, is scheduled to arrive here tomorrow.
