Rich tributes paid to Gandhian and veteran Bihar leader

Rich tributes were paid to Gandhian and veteran Dalit leader of Bihar Mahavir Chaudhary on his second death anniversary.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD president Lalu Prasad were to attend the function but they could not make it.
The CM could not take off from Darbhanga due to bad weather, while Prasad is in Delhi.
At the function to pay respect to the departed Congress leader, Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav, education minister and son of the departed leader Ashok Chaudhary, his cabinet colleague Awdesh Kumar Singh and Deputy leader in state Assembly Shyam Rajak paid rich tributes to him.
Mahavir Chaudhary was elected to Bihar Assembly for eight times from 1952 and was twice minister in the state.
He handed over his political responsibility to his son Ashok Chaudhary, who was education minister in Nitish Kumar government, in 2000.

Born on November 2, 1928 in Kudwa village in Gaya district, Chaudhary died at an age of 86 on May 4, 2014. He had graduated from BHU in 1950.
Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav said his father Lalu Prasad told him about noble deeds of Mahavir Chaudhary in the field of education and social upliftment of deprived.
Minister Ashok Chaudhary, Awdesh Kumar Singh and Shyam Rajak highlighted simplicity and dedication of the veteran leader.
On the occasion, two parents were rewarded for treading a difficult path for education of their children. Rewarding ideal parents started this time on advise of Nitish Kumar during anniversary function of the veteran Dalit leader last year.
