Richard Burton to get posthumous star honour

Legendary movie star Richard Burton is to be posthumously honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which will be unveiled on Wales' national day. The Welsh actor's star will be unveiled next to his ex-wife Elizabeth Taylor's plaque on March 1, reported BBC online. Burton's daughters Kate and Maria will accept the honour on their father's behalf, while fellow Welshman Michael Sheen will be among the guest speakers honouring Burton. It coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Burton-Taylor film 'Cleopatra'. Other Welsh celebrities already honoured are actors Ray Milland and Anthony Hopkins, along with singer Tom Jones, but until now Burton has been conspicuous by his absence.
