Ricky Donison wins 3rd round of karting champ

Defending champion, Ricky Donisor reasserted his domination in the Senior Max Category, winning the 3rd round of the 13th JK Tyre FMSCI National Rotax Mac Karting Championship here today.
The Bengaluru-lad, as of now leading the points table, was confident of winning the National Championship two years in a row going by his form.
There are two more races to go at Kolhapur and the grand finale at Hyderabad.
Ricky of BPC Racing, who started at the third place in the grid for the finals, had to stave off a stiff challenge from Nayan Chatterjee (Meco Racing), Dhuv Mohite (Mohite's Racing) and Vishnu Prasad (Meco Racing) in an intense race that saw dramatic twists and turns.
The victory has taken Ricky's championship tally to 252, a slender five points ahead of the second-place Vishnuprasad, who came second today and nine ahead of Dhruv. Akash Gowda was placed third in the race.
Ricky would also be taking part for the first time in JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship 2016 for JK FB02 and LGB F4- Round 1 National Champ 4W KMs, which are scheduled here from July 29 to 31.

When asked about expectations, he said "Nothing is guaranteed in racing and every time I go into the track , I hope to complete the race to the best of my abilities."
Currently overall second in the Asian Championship and with two more rounds to go he is confident of catching up with the leader, Ricky said.
Since he is completing 18 years, he wanted to participate in the USFormula 2000 scheduled in March and become the first Indian to do so, Ricky said.
