Since the government had cut short the two-day programme on October 25-26 to one day (October 25), it became difficult to accommodate his two-hour programme, Kej told PTI today.
"Hence, I along with the state government authorities have mutually and cordially agreed to call off my programme in the larger interest of accommodating all the other programmes," he said.
Kej, however, said he would happy to perform, with no monetary expectations, any day in future for the occasion of 60th year celebrations of Vidhan Soudha.
President Ram Nath Kovind is slated to address a joint session of the state legislature on October 25.
Kej's concert was scheduled on October 26.
