The company provides various technology solutions and is a subsidiary of Japan's Ricoh Co.
In a filing to BSE, the company said it filed "a complaint with the police against suspected wrong-doers" today.
"Ricoh India Ltd will fully cooperate with the police to enable due investigation of the suspected wrong-doings," it added.
However, specific details were not disclosed.
Capital market regulator Sebi is looking into possible financial irregularities at the company which has failed to comply with certain listing obligations, including timely filing of financial results.
In April, the company had said its financial statement for the quarter ended June 2015 and half-year ended September 2015 did not reflect the true and fair view of the state of affairs.
"... The audit committee and the board are of the opinion that the books of account and other relevant books and papers and financial statement for the quarter ended on June 30, 2015 and half year ended September 30, 2015, do not reflect true and fair view of the state of the affairs of the company," it had said in a filing to the BSE.
