At present, the Kolkata data centre caters to more than 200 domestic and international customers, including state-run banks.
Ricoh India had set up the data centre in Kolkata in 2013 which was a flagship facility for providing innovative cloud services to its customers.
The centre provides fully managed virtual and dedicated servers, backup and disaster recovery solutions and services, managed email services, co-location services, among others, to its customers.
"The expansion of this facility is a testimony of our endeavour to tap the growing potential of the public cloud services," Ricoh India Managing Director and CEO Manoj Kumar said.
According to Kumar, the company sees huge potential in the West Bengal region especially with strong initiatives by the state government to encourage development of industry and generation of employment opportunities.
"We feel that this is the right time for us to invest here and expand state-of-the-art facilities like this one," he added.
