Rifle snatching: BJP leader, others quizzed

Police today called for questioning several persons, including BJP leader Ghulam Mohammad Chopan, in connection with the snatching of his personal security guard's service rifle by militants at his residence in Chadoora area of central Kashmir's Budgam district.
"Ghulam Mohammad Chopan was among several persons called for questioning today in connection with the weapons snatching incident that took place inside his residence on June 28," a police official said.
He said no arrest has been made so far in connection with the incident.
Constable Bashir Ahmad had reported to police that four gunman barged into Chopan's house at Panzan in Chadoora and snatched his service rifle.
