The 'Diamonds' singer came out top in the rankings that were released during International Women's day, reported Variety online.
Ellie Goulding, Katy Perry and Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Lana Del Rey and Lorde made it into the top ten.
Country star Taylor Swift was also included in the top 10, despite the 'Shake It Off' singer removing all her music from the streaming site in late 2014.
Beyonce was named the most streamed female artist by women on Spotify worldwide, while Perry was the most streamed female by male Spotify users.
