Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), today said the company has posted a growth of 25 per cent in exports in FY14 as compared to the last fiscal.
The steelmaker's exports in the just-concluded fiscal stood at Rs 750 crore, up 25 per cent over FY13.
The FY14 turnover stood at Rs 13,527 crore, the same as last fiscal, a company release said here.
The PSU said a section of media had incorrectly reported that turnover had expanded by 25 per cent in FY14.
"This is to clarify that RINL registered a growth of 25 per cent in exports in FY14 as compared to FY13. However, turnover of Rs 13,527 crore in FY 13-14 was at the same level as that of the last fiscal," it added.
