The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) personnel are working to clear the highway and make it motorable, District Disaster Management Officer Nand Kishore Joshi said.
Meanwhile, the pilgrims are continuing their journey on foot after the highway was closed.
Debris have accumulated at the sliding zone in Lambadgarh while a 30-metre stretch of the national highway was washed away, he said.
An engineer of the BRO, who was working at the spot, said they are working to clear the debris from the highway and it will be opened soon.
