The movie had been at the receiving end of MNS' protest owing to casting of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
Recently, the party announced to end its protest against "Raees", "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and "Dear Zindagi", which feature artistes from Pakistan.
When asked about his thoughts on the development, Ritesh told reporters here, "I am very happy."
"Raees" is set to hit the screens on January 26, 2017. The filmmaker was speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming musical drama "Rock On 2".
