On the direction of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, a letter has been issued appointing senior party leaders as in-charge of all ten bypoll-bound Assembly seats in Bihar, state unit RJD spokesman Ejaz Ahmed said.
RJD MP Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav has been nominated as in-charge of the Banka Assembly seat, while ex-MP Alok Mehta would look after the Mohiuddinagar Assembly seat, he said.
Ex-MP Vidyasagar Nishad and RJD legislature party leader Abdul Bari Siddique have been nominated as in-charge of Bhagalpur and Jale Assembly seats, while former minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha and ex-MLA Satish Paswan would look after Mohania and Narkatiaganj Assembly seats, the RJD spokesman said.
Former MLC Tanvir Hasan and ex-MLA Uday Narayan Rai would serve as in-charge for Narkatiaganj and Hajipur Assembly seats, he said.
The RJD leaders would stay put in the bypoll-bound Assembly seats till conclusion of the poll process and work in coordination with the local leadership of the party and its allies - JD(U) and Congress, to ensure the victory of all alliance candidates in the bye-election to be held on August 25.
