The RJD and Congress, which voted for the Jitan Ram Manjhi government in Bihar, today said they would not hesitate to take up people's cause even as the BJP mocked at the RJD for its "ambivalent" stand.
Former chief minister and RJD leader Rabri Devi said her party would both support and oppose the Manjhi government depending on the situation.
"We will decide our stand either to support Manjhi government to uphold secularism or oppose it in case it takes anti-people steps, depending on the situation," Rabri Devi, Member of Legislative Council, told reporters on the first day of the monsoon session.
The Congress, which also supported the JD(U) government in the state in the trust vote, said it would not hesitate to raise issues concerning common man.
"We are with the common man and will not hesitate to raise issues concerning masses," state Congress president and MLC Ashok Choudhary told reporters.
Proximity between the JD(U), RJD and the Congress has been visible in recent days.

Opposition BJP took potshots at the RJD for its "ambivalent" stand.
"Basically, they will be in the role of 'Sikhandi'... for taking advantage, they will be with the government and whenever their interest is harmed, will oppose the government," former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi told reporters.
"In parliamentary democracy, either a party is in government or in opposition. Every party has to choose one path... Treading on different paths suited to the interest will not do," Sushil Modi said.
The JD(U) said it was prepared to answer all issues raised by opposition.
"We are prepared to talk on any issue raised by the Opposition in a proper manner," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shrawan Kumar told reporters.
