The party also asked the BJP to decide about the candidature of its next prime minister from among them (Nitish or Modi).
Kumar and Modi enjoyed a 'keen and close' friendly relation which was evident from the two shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries at the conference, RJD Principal General Secretary Ram Kripal Yadav told reporters.
Recalling that Kumar had prevented Modi from campaigning during 2005 and 2009 assembly polls in Bihar, Yadav said, soon after the last polls the two had met and were photographed during campaigning in Ludhiana.
Asking Kumar to explain why he was 'enacting a drama', Yadav charged him with trying to mislead the people over his relations with Modi keeping an eye on Muslim votes.
Yadav also took a dig at state BJP minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey's reported statement in Surat yesterday projecting Narendra Modi as the candidate for prime minister, a statement described by his senior party colleague and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi as his personal opinion.
