RJD suspends MLC for praising Narendra Modi

Cracking the whip on a senior leader for praising BJP poll panel chief Narendra Modi, RJD of Lalu Prasad today suspended party MLC Nawal Kishore Yadav for six years.
"The Bihar unit of the RJD today decided to suspend MLC Nawal Kishore Yadav for six years for praising Narendra Modi who is known for spreading communal agenda in the country," its president Ramchandra Purve told reporters.
Purve said the MLC, who is also party national council member, has been suspended for hurting sentiments of party workers who considers Modi as "communal personality" who has been spreading hatred in society.
He said party national president Lalu Prasad will be informed about the suspension of the MLC.
The RJD MLC had described Narendra Modi as the "most popular" leader of the country today who has the capability to become Prime Minister. He had also mocked at the incumbent PM Manmohan Singh.
"Narendra Modi has the voice to raise issues concerning the common man... He (Modi) is the most popular leader of the country today," Yadav had told reporters at Biharsharif, headquarters of Nalanda district, native place of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Monday night.
"He (Modi) will be any day better than the present Prime Minister Manmohan Singh," he had said, adding, "We have a Prime Minister in Manmohan Singh today who is not a political leader of the country or people...
