"Our party's Uttar Pradesh unit has identified 100-125 assembly constituencies where the party will undertake pre-poll activities.
"We may change the number of seats to be contested if we happen to enter into alliance with any party. Else, we will contest all the seats identified," he said.
Speaking to reporters after his party's national executive meeting here, Kushwaha also hit out at ruling JD(U)-RJD combine in Bihar over the killing of a journalist in the state's Siwan district, saying the state is returning to the pre-2005 "era of terrorism" and asked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take immediate cognisance of reports of violence.
Even journalists are not safe in Bihar. The Chief Minister is not taking any interest in the state's affairs and is roaming outside. Bihar is returning to the pre-2005 period of violence and terrorism against which we fought. He should take cognisance of the incident immediately," Kushwaha said.
Kushwaha said his party will undertake a two-month membership drive across the country beginning June 1.
