Road blockade following assault of truck driver by policeman

Truck drivers put up a road blockade using their vehicles at Salbani in West Midnapore district alleging assault of a driver by a bribe seeking policeman.
Police said the truck drivers alleged that one of them was assaulted by a policeman on NH-7 when the driver refused to pay him bribe.
Following this, they put up the road blockade for around two hours and damaged a police vehicle.
Police said a complaint of assault has been lodged by the driver and the blockade was withdrawn.
