The tribunal also awarded Rs 15,000 compensation to the youth's brother who was also injured in the accident.
It directed New India Assurance Company Ltd, with which the offending car was insured, to pay Rs 29,07,500 and Rs 15,000 to Indirapuram residents Deepak Pandey and Shubham Pandey respectively.
"In view of the statement of parties and documents available on record, it is prima facie proved that petitioners (Shubham and Deepak) suffered injuries due to rash and negligent driving of respondent no. 3 (car driver)," MACT Presiding Officer Dinesh Bhatt said.
Both the brothers were taken to hospital. While Shubham had received simple injuries, Deepak suffered severe head injuries.

Besides the head injuries, Deepak had told the court that he had suffered right leg injury and a permanent shunt had to be installed. He had also said there was loss of vision and memory and required continuous care for his whole life.
The car owner and the driver denied of any negligence on their part in the accident and said the mishap took place due to negligence of the petitioners who despite their indicator and slow speed were unable to control their motorcycle and had hit their vehicle.
